Lets Get Quizzical....

After an absence of 2 years the Halifax Institute Quiz was back.

A lot of familiar faces showed up to contest the Martyn Foulds memorial trophy. "Brighter by Name, Not by Nature" went into the lead after the first round in a bid to improve on their 2nd place last time. By the halfway point they had been joined by our Treasurer, David Heap's team, "All About Peat".

"All About Peat" nudged ahead after the 3rd round, closely followed by the Brighter team, with "The Sobrieties" in third place. Things got even closer after the 4th round when "The 4 Amigos" and "The Brokers & The Thief" joined the mix with only 1 point separating the top 5 teams.

After a very close last round "The Sobrieties" finished as eventual winners, closely followed by "Brighter by Name, Not by Nature" with "The Brokers & The Thief" in 3rd place.

A total of £110 was raised on the night, including the raffle, which will be donated to the Halifax Food Bank Happydays UK | Sowerby Bridge | Facebook
