Obituary: Melvin Turnbull
The Insurance Institute of Bradford are advised of the passing of George Melvin Turnbull (known as Melvin Turnbull), who was a past president of the Insurance Institute of Bradford (1997-98).
Melvin died on 30 May 2022 in Torrevieja Hospital in Spain, after a brief period of illness.
Melvin spent his entire career, from the 1970s through to the year 2000, with Sydney Packett & Sons when they were based on Hustlergate, Bradford. He retired to the Orihuela Costa area of Spain and settled there until he died.
A funeral will be held locally to where he lived in Spain in due course.
The Insurance Institute of Bradford wish to express their condolences to Melvin’s family and are grateful for his help and guidance during his term on Council and as President.
