Presidents Message

I am delighted to continue in my role as President for a second year.

My focus this year will be the long term sustainability of the Institute and promoting what we can do for our members at a local level.

I am actively looking to speak with people who are new to the Insurance & Finance Industry. We can provide you with so much information to help you in the early days of your career be that CPD or the network to help you further your career.

CPD again will be another area I am focusing on, and it is my plan to hold at least one in person CPD event that I hope will bring our members together. We are here to support our members and your input regarding CPD is welcomed so please contact me directly if there is anything specific you would like your institute to offer.

My chosen charity this year will be Mothershare who offer services to vulnerable families in Calderdale. Mothershare’s mission is to provide vulnerable children and families with a range of important items that can make the difference between having something and nothing. From buggies to beds, cots to cradles, baby gates to bouncers, toys to t-shirts and much, much more.

I’m really looking forward to representing our members again this year and I will continue to build on the foundations put in place last year to help our institute grow. I will also be working closely with my Deputy President, Amanda Shaw, to make sure her ideas are incorporated ready for her taking over as President in 2025.
