Quiz Night 2014

Covea Insurance were crowned Quiz Champions for the third consecutive year. This year’s triumphant team, named Zeek & the Embalmers, consisted of Craig Raw, Mark Balmer, Matthew Payne & Alison Whittaker.

The scores were tied after the final round with teams representing Covea & Revival both on 82 points. Both teams had incorrect answers for the first tie–break question. Covea answered the second tie–breaker correctly to become overall winners.

The Quiz was held at Dirty Dick’s in Halifax and a pie & pie supper was enjoyed at the half time interval.

Ten teams took part this year in a very enjoyable quiz. There were six question rounds including General Knowledge, Sport, Film/TV/Theatre, Music/Art/Literature & the ever popular Picture round.

Second place went to the Revival team with 82 points and third place to the CII team with 81 points.
