Flooding is becoming increasingly common in the UK, with a growing number of concerns being raised from insurers about the current flood risk. Thus the UK insurance regime - for flood - is in a period of flux. With more flood claims insurers are increasingly looking at ways in which flood claims can be handled and mitigated. This event will tackle how the water damage caused by floods can be restored.

Who Should Attend? Anyone who works in general insurance with a property element in their role. How water damage is restored is relevant to underwriters, claims handlers and brokers alike.

Speaker Biography
Mike is a professional loss adjuster and has been dealing with claims most of his insurance career. Other than six years in the Middle east (when he missed the floods), he has been involved on the ground in just about every weather surge since North Wales flooded in 1991. Mike has been a loss adjuster for 28 years, former head of Property Claims for one of the national adjusting firms and is now an Associate Director of VRS Vericlaim UK Ltd. Mike is also the immediate past President of the Insurance Institute of Sheffield.
