Why You Should Attend

For this lunchtime lecture, Steve White will be explaining what BIBA consider the main issues are for brokers following the UK decision to exit the EU. It will set out BIBA’s position on each of these issues, as well as establishing how that position was arrived at. The presentation will also cover what lobbying activities BIBA has undertaken to present and protect the interest of its member firms.

By the end of this session, delegates will be able to identify:
- what issues are likely to affect insurance brokers post EU exit
- BIBA’s position on these issues
- the lobbying activities undertaken by BIBA on these issues

Speaker Biography

Steve White is the Chief Executive of BIBA. Steve joined BIBA in 2004 as Head of Compliance and Training, before becoming Chief Executive in May 2013. He sits on the Directors’ Committee of BIPAR (the European Federation of Insurance Intermediaries) and the Executive Committee of WFII (the World Federation of Insurance Intermediaries). Steve has spent 40 years in the insurance industry. Prior to joining BIBA, he worked for Orion Insurance Company, the General Insurance Standards Council and the Financial Services Authority.
