Anyone who works in general insurance claims departments whether this is within Insurers, Brokers, Loss Adjusters or other organisations, who need a basic understanding of Subsidence claims.

Why you should attend

Understanding what is subsidence, the causes and effects on buildings. Identifying the difference between typical subsidence damage and non-subsidence related damage, how it is investigated and repair techniques. It will provide assistance to claims handlers when dealing with insurance claims for damage sustained by dwellings and small business premises as a result of subsidence.

Speaker Biography

Steve spent 15 years as a geotechnical engineer before joining the loss adjusting industry in 2002 and has dealt with a portfolio of domestic and commercial subsidence claims throughout the UK. In the last 10 years Steve has been involved in the technological advances in the handling of subsidence claims and was the lead adjuster on the ‘Rochdale Road’ Subsidence Scheme, winner of the 2009 Major Loss Award, British Insurers Award.
