2019 Annual Dinner

The Halifax Insurance Institute 59th Annual Dinner Celebration
will be taking place at The Holiday Inn - Brighouse, on Friday 12th April 2019.

Our headline after Dinner speaker will be Lea Roberts.

Lea is a comedian, after dinner speaker and awards host from Halifax. Since winning the TV Series “Stand Up Britain” back in 2002 Lea has become a well-known face on the after dinner circuit, working all over the UK and abroad.

Lea has an interest in most popular sports (he played professional rugby league “back in the day”) and his style of comedy is based on traditional Northern humour with a more modern approach.

Our Special Guest for the evening will be Ric Cockerham.

Ric will be joining us on behalf of our President, Terri Chapman's, chosen charity; Wasdale Mountain Rescue. Ric has personal experience of the work done by Wasdale MRT as he was rescued by the team after being missing for 48 hours on Scarfell Pike in January 2018.

Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team has been assisting people in the western fells for 50 years. It is one of twelve teams in the Lake District Search and Rescue Association and each year they respond to between 60 – 90 calls from the police to rescue people who are injured or lost in the local mountains.

The Rescue Team provides a free 24-hours per day, 365 days a year service and relies almost totally on donations received from the public. Our Charity Raffle will be raising funds for the team.

Throughout the evening we will be entertained by magician Ian White who will also double up as our DJ to round off the evening with our customary disco.

Ticket Price: £50 per head / £500 per table of ten
