Networking is a critical business skill, but not everyone likes it...
Most people when asked say that they don't like networking, it can come with a lot of negative associations; we'll show you how successful networking isn't about shoving business cards at people or cold messaging on LinkedIn.
About The Session:
This topic should appeal to a broad range of members (whether PFS or General Insurance) with a focus on equipping them with practical business skills that they can apply immediately in their day-today working lives.
Learning Objectives:
By tthe end of the session delegates will understand:
- Why you should network
- Differences in how introverts and extroverts network and lots of ideas for both
- How you can network without 'networking'
- How to get the best from face-to-face networking
- How to network in the time of coronavirus (a 2020 special addition!)
Speaker Biography:
Sarah has an established career within the insurance and pensions industry, having started her career as a commercial underwriter.
For the past decade Sarah has focused on strategic business change which has involved managing large teams across the world almost exclusively remotely to achieve complex business changes on tight timelines.
Outside of the industry Sarah combines her passion for psychology and coaching for performance with her certifications in NLP and clinical hypnotherapy to provide coaching and support to individuals to recover from corporate burnout and stress.
Sarah is also a past President of the Guildford Chartered Insurance Institute.
