The presentation will give an overview of the current IHT position in the UK and the common ways it can be mitigated for those who have, or may have, an IHT liability.

  • To look at the proposed simplification of inheritance tax in the UK
  • To understand how inheritance tax planning fits into financial planning as a whole

Speaker Biography:

Michael Duffield is a Financial Planner at New World Financial Group Limited, a financial planning firm whose aim is to bring financial planning and coaching to every home in the UK and to transform people's understanding of how financial services can benefit them.

Michael’s role involves guiding his clients through the financial planning process which starts with helping them to create a vision for what their best future could look like. Once a vision has been developed, Michael and the team at New World collaborate closely with their clients to create a plan that ultimately gets the clients from where they are now to where they want to be, and helps them to answer that fundamental question – have I got enough?
