The property has been affected by direct fire, smoke, and significant water damage [from extinguishment waters used by the fire brigade].'

We will focus on the underwriting of modular buildings, and impacts on claims, and address the following learning objectives:

  1. The different types of modular building which will form current and future housing stocks.
  2. The importance of “non-standard construction” disclosure during the underwriting process and the consequences of misrepresentation.
  3. The underwriting considerations and issues that modern method of construction present.
  4. Modern methods of construction and the impacts on claims management and damage restoration.
  5. How modern methods of communication and transaction media can affect and impact processes. In particular, the use of aggregator sites.
  6. How breakdown in the claims handling process can affect and impact individual and family resilience.
