Deputy President 2024/2025: Yasmin Van Der Veen

Dear Members,

✨ I am so thrilled to have been elected as Deputy President of the The Insurance Institute of Ipswich, Suffolk & North Essex 2024/25 ✨

I joined council in 2019 and since then I’ve enjoyed 5 wonderful years both in my personal life and especially my professional development within the Insurance Industry.

My highlights were bouncing off ideas with council members during meeting and successful networking events. I enjoyed arranging the award ceremonies for our special members.🏆 🏆🏆

Sometimes this filled up my diary very quickly but it’s ever so rewarding!

Our latest successful CII YPG was the Big Annual Quiz night where we had a full turnout of 140 members! We were all laughing and interacting with each other the whole evening with fun prizes to win. 🥇🏎️ 🥂

These happy experiences are so valuable especially creating such a real life buzz when so many people stay at home clustered to their phones! 📱

So I would encourage anyone to get up and take the first step of becoming a member of our fantastic Council with the wonderful Oliver Watson DIP CII as our new President and his great missions of mentorship together with his important charity Suffolk Mind 💙

Not to forget to thank our former successful president Nathan Harvey who will continue to contribute on council as Secretary! 🤩

Needless to say we have so many amazing plans in the pipeline and I can’t wait to share them together with new and exciting members in 2024!!!! 🚀🤩✨🎉🥰
