The Annual Dinner of the Insurance Institute of Ipswich, Suffolk and North Essex was held on Friday 5th April. Preceding our AGM, this is an important and eagerly awaited social event where our members and guests come together to be entertained, to network and to celebrate the achievements of members who have been awarded prizes for outstanding academic achievement and professional excellence.

Hello to all. Here we are in March and into Spring already. However, it feels decidedly chilly to me having just returned from two weeks working in Mumbai. However, I gather that I entirely missed the worst of the poor weather and it’s much better now! It is great to see the bulbs coming up and the buds on the trees, driving the general feeling of re-awakening and growth.

What a difference a year makes. This time last year I was working in a hot and sultry Mumbai whilst at home it was cold and windy as the U.K braced itself for the “Beast from the East”. Here in 2019, I am not travelling to Mumbai until mid-March and whilst writing this message, it is bright and sunny and unseasonably warm here in Suffolk.
