However I am determined to squeeze as much as I can into my 12 months, and plans are coming along nicely!.....

Dear Member - At last, it seems like spring is finally here - and it definitely feels good to be able to type this with the window open and the heating off! However, the arrival of better weather is also a reminder that time is moving on; and so, with plenty of exciting events already in the calendar for my presidential year, I’d like to take this opportunity to bring you an update about what’s coming up over the next few months, so you can be sure to get the most out of your membership.......

2017 Annual CII Dinner at Stoke by Nayland

The Annual Chartered Institute of Ipswich, Suffolk and North Essex was held at Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa on Friday 24 March 2017.

Charity Quiz at Bowmans Bar

On Wednesday 8 February 2017 a room full of people turned out on a cold winters night to support the Annual CII Quiz. With proceeds going to the supported charities for the year – Suffolk Age UK and Suffolk Mind, the event was held in Bowman’s Bar in Falcon Street, Ipswich, who donated the venue for the evening. Oliver Mark was the able Quiz Master, assisted by Sarah Deacon and a total of 8 teams fought a hard battle of general knowledge using nothing but their brains! At the end of the evening, the team `Undooley Bothered` were declared the winners, who then very kindly added to the fundraising total by handing back their winnings to go to the charities. A brilliant total of £320 was raised during the evening. Watch this space for the next event.
