Bio of Katie, who will be taking the class:
I’m Katie, I’ve been a fitness coach for 10 years. I began in group fitness but over time have focused more in 1-1 Personal Training which I now do predominantly online. I specialise in Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition and Functional Mobility.
Elevate is my answer to all of the HIIT training that dominates the fitness scene, an antidote if you will. In elevate we train in our aerobic training zone which is the foundation for all other fitness training zones, it’s the one that offers the most health benefits: improved energy efficiency, increase lung capacity, increase cardio endurance, better circulation, decrease stress hormones and improve recovery.
Think of it as endurance training, this means we don’t stop and start but aim to keep moving! You’ll burn just as many calories as a HIIT workout but I design the class around a more medium-impact format and use sport-inspired movements as well as a banging, energetic House music playlist.
