REVISED TINING - Application Fraud: the forgotten frontline battle
The latest ABI statistics relating to insurance fraud show a rise in application fraud and the number of detected incidents far outweigh fraudulent claims. Yet, when we talk as an industry about fraud, the focus is all too often on claims and curiously application fraud is somewhat overshadowed. All insurance professionals are on the frontline in the battle against this scourge. This session will shed light on what the latest ABI statistics tell us, the duties we have in law at the application stage and how to identify and counter application fraud.
