Bradford Institute Event: Bullying & Harassment within the workplace
Joint event with The Institutes of Leeds and Bradford
Where: The Bradford Club, 1 Piece Hall Yard, Bradford, BD1 1PJ
Time: Light refreshments at 12:00 for 12:30 start (1:30 finish)
Why You Should Attend
Experiencing harassment is one of the most difficult situations a worker can face. All workers are protected from harassment in the workplace, both one-off incidents and ongoing courses of conduct. Allegations of harassment (including the #MeToo movement) are being reported more frequently. This session will consider the legal requirements within a workplace. It will also explore what types of behaviour are unlawful, and how you can avoid claims.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this event, the delegates will be able to identify:
- what harassment at work looks like
- how harassment and bullying are defined
- what conduct is lawful and unlawful
- how to better protect your organisation against discriminatory conduct
