Webinar: Are you ready for the Civil Liability Act?
On 31 May 2021, the Civil Liability Act (2018) will introduce the biggest changes in 30 years for personal injury claims following a Road Traffic Accident.
The precise effects, on both claims and premium levels, will only be seen once the Act is fully bedded in, but we can be certain that there will be many changes, especially to the claims process.
Motor Legal Expenses insurance (MLE) will also be affected. The wide variety of policies, cover and marketing options can be confusing for clients and this can only be exacerbated by the Act.
In addition to examining the objectives and provisions of the Act, this webinar looks at the likely consequences for various sectors of the insurance market and suggests some potential strategies for advising clients and claimants.
The webinar will be of value to those involved in Motor claims, underwriting, broking or anyone wishing to widen their knowledge of a highly topical and fast moving aspect of general insurance.

At the end of this event, the delegate will be able to identify:-

• The effect on Motor Legal Expenses insurance and how this class of business might adapt
• Ideas for communication strategies when dealing with clients and potential claimants
• Potential wider effects on the Motor market generally
