Speaker Biography
Paul Hanwell has over 20 years of General Insurance experience spanning all aspects of the insurance model through his varied roles in a number of Insurers and in multiple markets.

An underwriter by trade, Paul also brings expertise in business strategy, change delivery and operational management. He gained vast experience of operating in Personal and Commercial lines markets both UK and Internationally through a 15 year career at RSA before heading up Chubb’s UK & Ireland Personal Lines Underwriting Centre. In his current role at Direct Line Group, Paul has accountability for all technical aspects of the Commercial business including regulatory control and governance alongside risk appetite and strategic development, portfolio management and market insight.
