Christmas Foodbank Appeal 2024

This year the Insurance Institute of Leeds is raising money for the Leeds South & East Foodbank. This time of year can be particularly difficult for those in need, and last December the foodbank handed out 1,494 food parcels.

We are raising awareness of food poverty in our area and would welcome our members’ support raising funds and donating items this Christmas.

You can help in various ways:

Monetary Donations
The Insurance Institute of Leeds has a Just Giving page you can donate to. All funds go directly to the foodbank. Please click here to donate.

Reverse Advent Calendar / Office Collections
The Leeds South & East Foodbank also have a ‘Reverse Advent Calendar’ campaign for offices. Print a copy of the calendar (download below), share the days amongst colleagues, and end up with a full shopping bag by the end of the month to donate!

Donating Food
Any support for foodbanks makes a difference and most supermarkets have donation points at checkouts. Items most in need at the moment are:
• Tinned meat & fish
• Tinned fruit & veg
• Cooking sauces
• Coffee
• UHT milk
• Cereals
• Tinned puddings
• Jam
• Instant mashed potato
• Christmas themed treats are also welcome!
