Learning Objectives
At the end of this session delegates will be able to identify

  • How AI is regulated in the UK and the EU.
  • An understanding of recent AI events and incident trends and the increased risk of cyber incidents associated with AI.
  • Exactly what is required to respond to it in terms of the different workstreams and associated costs in the event that an organisation experiences a cyber security incident.
  • An understanding as to how a cyber policy may respond to a cyber security incident.

Speakers

Harriet Davies
Harriet advises a wide variety of clients in relation to both domestic and international cyber incidents. Harriet is highly experienced in dealing with the full lifecycle of incident response, as well as post-incident regulatory and litigation matters.

Harriet also advises insurers on complex cyber, specialty, and professional liability matters, including coverage for cyber security, data breaches, privacy matters and third-party litigation arising from these breaches. Harriet also has litigation and defence experience advising insurers and companies on various commercial disputes.

Harriet is a member of the California bar and is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US).

Ambre Cross
Ambre is an experienced Associate based in Manchester and a key member of the firm’s regional cyber team. Ambre has experience managing and advising a wide variety of clients in relation to both domestic and international cyber incidents.

She is highly experienced in dealing with all aspects of incident response and routinely advises clients on their regulatory obligations in the UK/ EU, and globally, with assistance from local counsel.
