This seminar will explore what is meant by environmental liability and how it affects the insurance industry. In particular, it will provide answers to the following key questions:
- Why are environmental liabilities such a risk?
- Why is environmental insurance such a difficult concept to sell?
- Why is it important for the insurance industry?
The seminar will also consider the most appropriate approach for Brokers to take when evaluating risk and recommending cover under this heading
The seminar will be of interest to Brokers, Underwriters, surveyors and claims handlers
Dan Alexander-Lothian is an Environmental Underwriter with 10 years’ experience in the environmental liability / risk assessment field. His current position is as an environmental underwriter, providing insurance solutions for environmental risk management in many sectors including manufacturers and property owners, ensuring protection against regulatory and third party environmental liabilities. Previously Dan worked in environmental consultancy, undertaking due diligence, contaminated land investigations and risk assessment for a diverse range of industry sectors.
