Our speaker for the Luncheon was Neil Gyllenship, Fire Officer at Liverpool John Lennon Airport who gave a truly inspirational talk about how in 2010, with his best friend, he rowed across the Atlantic on a journey of a life time. Starting their journey in the Canary Islands, Neil and his partner rowed unaided across 3,000 miles of Atlantic Ocean in a 23’ rowing boat. They finally arrived in Antigua after 75 days at sea and in doing so, raised £68k for Claire House. His story was truly amazing!
A prize draw was held which raised a fantastic total of £375 for North West Air Ambulance, the President’s Charity for the year.
