IIL Games - Christmas Jumper Quiz and Final results
7 teams in total competed in the Quiz Night with some very interesting choices of Christmas jumpers on show. Hosted by the Quizmaster General, and the IIL’s very own Bethany Lavin, the teams battled it out through 5 rounds, General Knowledge, Film & TV, Sport, Music and Christmas.
Congratulations to Weightmans ‘The Quizmas Three’ who came out on top on the night with an impressive 47/60!
Howden’s team ‘Eyes on the Mince Pies’ followed up with a close second with 43/60
In 3rd place we had DWF’s team, ‘I Saw Mummy Quizzing Santa Claus’ with 39/60.
Well done to all teams who took part and a special thanks to DWF and Howden’s who although weren’t part of the games joined us on the evening with two very strong teams.
The IIL Games 2018 Winners
So did a first place finish for Weightmans make them the ultimate winners of the competition? (drum roll please)…
No! Barnett Waddingham who have been a consistent force to be reckoned with throughout the competition managed to top the table!
The final table is as follows:
Barnett Waddingham 32
Weightmans 29
Pavis 28
Quilter Cheviot 27
Arthur J Gallagher 17
Insurance Institute of Liverpool 9
G&A (Professional Risks) 9
Hill Dickinson 9
Aviva 4
A huge congratulations to Barnett Waddingham for taking the IIL Games 2018 crown! We hope you enjoy your Luxury Christmas Hamper full of goodies from Booths. And congratulations to our runners up, Weightmans in 2nd Place and Pavis in 3rd Place who took home some luxury salted caramel toffies to share around the office.
That’s all folks!
What a year we have had during our first ever IIL Games. We hope the team players enjoyed it as much as we have here at IIL. From the very tense Pool Night Knockout competition back in May when Anthony Davies of Barnett Waddingham led his team to victory, to the Sports Day in July which showed that even as a team of three, Quilter Cheviot had what it takes to blow the competition out of the park! The Breakout competition in September saw Quilter Cheviot yet again conquer all as they managed to escape with 25 minutes still on the clock! And of course, our finale, the very festive and very merry Christmas Jumper Quiz where Weightmans took the crown.
Bethany Lavin from the IIL Council added “Thank you so much for your ongoing support – we hope we have brought a little bit of after work joy to your lives. Watch this space for #IILGAMES19 … we want to make it bigger and better!”
If you have any feedback on the games or suggestions for the next one please get in touch. We would also like to hear from anyone who would like to be involved in organising the games and/or joining the IIL council.
Thank you
Thank you to everyone who took part. We hope you all found it as enjoyable as we did and hope to see you again next year.
A big thanks to the IIL Games committee for planning the games and to everyone on the IIL Council who helped run and organise the events. Also thank you to our Regional Membership Executive, Tracy O'Connell who without her support none of this could have happened.
Finally, a huge thank you to the main organiser Bethany Lavin for all of the planning, hard work and commitment to make the first ever games a success. Well done Bethany!
