Insurance Institute of Liverpool finalists in CII's building public trust awards
As an institute we’re very proud of the work we do with local schools to educate students about the varied and rewarding career opportunities available in Insurance and Financial Planning. In particular, a lot of work goes into our annual careers event where local students take part in the CII’s Discover Risk and Discover Fortunes games, hear from graduates and apprentices and get to quiz local professionals about their roles. It’s a fantastic day and students leave with much more information and enthusiasm about careers in our sector.
We’re therefore delighted to be finalists for one of the CII’s Building Public Interest Awards – the ‘Classroom to Boardroom Initiative Award’.These awards reflect the CII’s purpose to build public trust and recognise work in the public arena by key individuals and companies going that extra mile to promote professionalism and drive forward the public trust agenda.
Tracey Fisher and Carly Dunningham from our institute council will be attending the CII President’s dinner on 11th April to find out if we’ve won this prestigious award. This is very exciting for us and it’s marvelous that our hard work is being acknowledged. We’ll keep you posted after the awards have taken place!
