Weightmans Wednesday

Weightmans Wednesday is a networking session for business people across the Liverpool area to come and hear an interesting prominent speaker, network and have a few drinks and nibbles.

Weightmans LLP, one of Liverpool’s longest established independent businesses, invite you to join us at the next Weightmans Wednesday event where we host Independent Liverpool.

We will hear from Oliver Press, co-founder of Independent Liverpool, an organisation that through a membership discount card, supports independent local businesses and encourages the exploration our wonderful city.
Oliver and David Williams, both University of Liverpool graduates, developed the idea in 2013 having become disillusioned with the number of chain stores taking over the high street and decided to support local businesses by offering people discount and deals if they shopped independently. It initially began as an online blog but became so popular that they developed their own membership card, which has over 11,000 members and has led to the development of striking website, an app and their first Food & Drink Festival, held recently in the Baltic Quarter.

The event is at our offices, starts at 5.45pm and usually finishes around 7.30pm.
