Financial Liverpool Event
Speaker: Roger Edwards of Roger Edwards Marketing
Coffee and networking 12:00 – 12:30
CPD talk 12:30 – 13:30
Buffet Lunch and networking 13:30 – 14:30
The target audience will be financial planners, paraplanners, accountants and legal professionals.
Sales of protection in 2015 were the lowest this century. The public is not engaged with the protection industry. They still think providers only pay 50% of claims when the real figure is nearly 97%.
Digital marketing and social media gives us an opportunity to engage with clients like never before. But the majority of product providers are paranoid about the compliance issues surrounding social media. It’s therefore down to financial advisers to provide the client engagement and start to grow the industry.
The issues to be covered and learning objectives are:
- The current state of the protection market: Public Perception, Claims Stats and product developments
- What is real customer engagement and why is social media and content marketing so important?
- What is the marketing mix and where does engagement fit?
- Why are Product Providers frightened of social media and what’s the solution?
The learning outcomes are for attendees to understand:
- That Social Media is an engagement platform not a promotional tool
- How we can use social and content marketing to grow the protection market
