An introduction to the diverse world of Crowdfunding, now a £10bn market in the UK. Covering the different crowdfunding models, key players, headline statistics and some tips on how to evaluate risks and returns of different investments and platforms. A key focus with be the new Innovative Finance ISA, predicted to raise £1bn in the 2017/8 tax year. Delivered by the founder of the crowdfunding association and partner of Downing LLP Julia Groves.

About the Speaker:
Since co-founding britishairways.com in 1994, Julia has invested a combination of her time and money in a series of new businesses in the digital and environmental sectors, including most recently Trillion Fund, a loan-based crowdfunding platform for renewable energy projects.
She co-founded the UK Crowdfunding Association in 2012, and has been instrumental in reforming regulation for crowd investors, and in the creation of the new Innovative Finance ISA. Julia joined Downing in March 2016 to lead the crowdfunding business www.downingcrowd.co.uk, offering bonds to retail investors.
