The Dog That Hasn't Barked
In this topical talk, Andrew Ramsbottom will discussing the current bond and fixed interest landscape.
The learning objective for the session is to obtain an understanding of the current bond and fixed interest landscape after a 25+ year bull market and the monetary stimulus (low interest rates and Quantitive Easing) over the last 10 years.
The learning outcomes will be:
• The 25 year bond bull market: is there any value left in mainstream bond markets at current yield levels?
• The hunt for yield: duration and credit risk.
• What could possibly go wrong? The end of QE, QT, higher interest rates and Brexit.
• Bond investing in a world of rising yields.
