Please join us for a networking evening at One Fine Day with guest speaker Irene Afful who will talk about her experiences and challenges coming through the ranks of Merseyside Police.

Irene Afful MSc. became the first ever black female inspector the history of Merseyside Police. On her journey through the force, Irene had to break down racial and gender boundaries to become such a trailblazer for other black women. She became a force for culture change within the police service and now runs her own professional coaching and consultancy business.
During her talk, Irene will discuss her personal journey of adversity, challenges and ultimate success, how she developed strategies to transform her thinking and build a successful career, business and transform her life. She will discuss why it makes business sense to be more diverse, particularly at senior levels and present some research on how businesses with diverse boardrooms are not only more profitable, but are also more attractive to top talent, enhancing its reputation.
