IIL Careers Day - 4th July 2023

About our careers event

Students will have the opportunity to learn about the various roles within Insurance and Financial Planning, which makes up one of the largest Sectors in Merseyside and the UK as a whole. Students will be able to speak to people from various financial services professions, ask questions about day to day roles, responsibilities, pay and progression.

We are aware that many students may not have had the opportunity to complete work experience due to Lockdowns and so we’re keen to try and provide a taster to this by hosting our event within the leading city centre office of Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance to allow students the opportunity spend the day in an office.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

There is no charge for attending the event.

We are keen that the Event isn’t just a ‘nice day out’ – so we will also be including details of lots of ‘next steps’ options including details of University Courses at Liverpool John Moores University, Professional qualification routes post School and details of Apprenticeship programs available in the area.

Who’s it for?

Year 12 Students who are studying subjects such as Maths, Business or Economics, English, Psychology, Law, IT etc. or students who have indicated an interest in professions such as Accountancy or Law.

As we will be hosting the event in an office environment numbers will be limited, with a cap of around 5-8 students from each school.
