Land Contamination (Insurance Focus)

Land contamination events can have a catastrophic impact on the environment and further, may result in land/fuel owners unwittingly incurring financial liabilities involving significant sums of money.

With this in mind, the Insurance Institute of Liverpool are delighted to host a webinar on this subject.

Our first guest speaker (Leanne Brumby, Senior Environmental Consultant at EFI) will provide an insight into how land contaminations occur and what happens following an incident. Leanne will explain how the severity of the environmental impact is assessed and the available remedies.

Our second speaker (David Waller, Head of Environmental Adjusting of Sedgwick International UK) will provide an overview of liabilities that can attach to land & fuel owners and the typical insurance policy response to such an event.

The lecture will be brought to life by real life case studies, which demonstrate the serious implications of such an event.

This webinar will be of interest all those working within the insurance or risk management field, including brokers, underwriters, claims handlers & loss adjusters.
