Annual Golf Day 2018

On June the 14th it saw the return of the annual CII golf day which had a record 36 golfers in attendance. While the course was in excellent condition there was a lot of debate about the greens and how they played.

The winner with 41 points was Mick Hunter from Arista. 2nd place was hotly contested with 3 golfers achieving 38 points which on count back resulted in Robin Gleeson from Towergate taking 2nd place.

The team prize was also very close with Mick Hunter and his Arista Insurance team taking the honours.

Longest Drive was awarded to Barry Dowman of HS Direct Insurance Brokers with Steve Boorman from Anthony James Insurance Brokers taking the nearest to the pin with a very fine shot that was 4 foot from the pin on the 17th.

Overall we had some excellent feedback on the day however due to the increase of numbers we are now starting to struggle to get everyone out and back in a timely manner. 2019 we will look to remedy this with either a two tee start or dependent on numbers a shotgun start.
