Bowling Competition

Mark Morris - Our Sports and Social Secretary reports as follows: -

On the 22nd February 2018, 29 members of the CII descended on Hollywood Bowl for First Annual Bowling event and it was great to see so many supporting the event.

There were 8 teams in total all competing for bragging rights over each other along with individual awards for Best Individual, Stylish Bowler, Funniest Bowler and Most Improved Bowler.

The first games went well with Daniel from RHG setting the standard scoring 159 closely followed by David of AJG with 131 and James of MIAB with 135 so it looked liked we had 3 front runners for the best individual bowler going into game to two with everyone else scoring between 117 to 46 points.

Unfortunately for David of AJG the wheels came of his game scoring only 82 but Daniel from RHG continued with his for and scored 128 in his second game setting a total of 287 as the leader and James of MIAB scoring 124 with an overall total of 259 it looked liked they were two tough scores to beat. Out of know where after scoring 88 in the first game Mark of AJG had the luckiest game most properly every seen as after 2 half strikes went on a streak of 5 strikes in a row to score 210 in his second game and top with the best individual bowler with a score of 298.

Daniel efforts were not in vain as RHG won the team event with a combined score of 973

Jordan of MIAB won most improved bower with a combined score of 106
Harry of RHG won funniest bowler with his though the legs bowling and using the bumpers
Steve of Stackhouse Poland was the winner of Most Stylised bowler as he was best dressed and showing of with showing how to get the ball to spin
