- President
Hello and welcome to the Insurance Institute of Luton and Hertfordshire.
I am truly honoured to take on the role of President for your local Institute for a second term. Your local Institute has so much to offer you as members and I encourage all members to engage with us so you have a say on how we can help you benefit and receive the most from your membership.
Here at the Luton and Hertfordshire, we have a great balance and respected representation in both the Insurance and Financial Services professions. This enables us to provide our members with a wide variety of CPD events that will aid you with your professional duties, careers and studies but not forgetting the networking opportunities and of course the social element!
We have social events that include: bowling, Top Golf, an annual charity golf day, quiz nights, wine tasting and much more... Come and join us.
You will find forthcoming events on this website as well as in the emails and monthly newsletter, which are sent out to members who have opted in to receive these. Please make sure you have "opted in" via your membership or you will be missing out! We also have a Linkedin page. During this second term as President I will continue to support: the development and delivery of our comprehensive CPD and social offering, engagement with local schools to encourage new generations to consider our industry as a career choice, celebration of success for members who have passed professional exams in the last 12 months, promotion of the Insurance Charities and my chosen charity, The Alzheimer's Society and then of course not forgetting our Annual Dinner, which will be in March 2025.
We have gone from strength to strength in my view and none of the above would be achievable without the support of your committed council members who volunteer their own time to make it all happen. I always enjoy meeting and hearing from our members so please feel free to contact me or any one of the council members, whose details can be found on our contact page.
We are always open to new members joining us and welcome any feedback from our members. If you are interested in becoming more involved with your local institute or even joining us on Council, please do get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
I hope to see you at one of our future events.
