Civil Wrongs and Legal liabilities

This course will be run by Graham Williams BA ACII PGC GCILEX PGCE

Graham is a director of Intralex Ltd. He has worked for over 30 years in the insurance industry, providing training and consultancy services throughout the UK and on the rare occasion, abroad. Graham has worked for and been involved with the CII for many years.

FREE to all CII/PFS members including those that are new to the Industry.


Who should attend?

Anyone who has recently begun to work in general insurance or those who simply want to gain an understanding of the area of liability insurance. Specifically, the session may appeal to those who are taking, or propose taking, a liability based CII subject in the qualification structure.

Course Content

This interactive session will cover the following aspects:


• An overview of civil wrongs
• The interaction between civil wrongs and liability insurance wordings;
• The general cover found in EL, PL, Products liability D & O + Professional Indemnity policies;
• An outline of the wordings used in such liability policies;
• The correlation between the different types of liability policies;
• An overview of new liabilities (e.g. cyber liability).
