The new Insurance Distribution Directive

A talk to be given by Branko Bjelobaba FCII, FCA Compliance Consultant

Branko has a first-class reputation for his expert knowledge on compliance and regulatory matters and their impact on the UK financial services and general insurance industries. Combining comprehensive knowledge with an engaging and unique presentation style, Branko manages to deliver presentation sessions that inform, enlighten and even entertain (all at the same time!!). Many events provided by Branko have been standing room only which continues to perplex him based on the subject matter and he has spoken at virtually all CII local institutes and is taken aback by the feedback he gets from those attending events.

FREE CPD EVENT - ALL WELCOME

Overview:

The consultation paper was published in March 2017 and implementation is required by February 2018 with further consultation due in September 2017. This is the first significant change to the regulatory regime since implementation of the original Insurance Mediation Directive and the one hour event will explain clearly the new requirements being proposed. Key changes in point of sale information, the advice process, complaints, professional/CPD requirements and with ancillary intermediaries.

Learning objectives:

By attending this event delegates will gain an insight into:-
• IDD proposals (Professional and organisational requirements (to include the whole distribution chain), Complaints, Conduct requirements and Ancillary Intermediaries - these being very onerous for anyone with Appointed Representatives);
• Questions asked by the FCA;
• New draft Handbook text.
