Suzy Lamplugh Trust - Stalking Awareness Session

The Suzy Lamplugh Trust is established as a global centre of excellence in stalking policy, campaigning, and service provision. They partner with the Home Office, Metropolitan Police, and statutory services to support and collate the best practice of specialist services across the UK in order to develop industry service standards for professionals working with victims of stalking.

This event is an awareness raising talk. It will give an introduction to stalking and underpin the approach to tackling stalking.

It will embed knowledge of the importance of stalking as a crime and will include an overview of stalking services available both locally and nationally, referral mechanisms, and contact details, emphasising the importance of recognising stalking and engaging a specialist for support.

The talk will cover:

• Definition of stalking

• Recognising stalking behaviours

• Introduction to the impact of stalking

• Introduction to stalker typologies

• Understanding the need for specialists

• Top tips for victims

• Stalking Protection Orders
