President's Message

Welcome To the Insurance Institute of Manchester

2024/25 will be our 151st year as an institute. It really is an honour and a privilege to be President.

We are very fortunate that the Insurance Institute of Manchester has such diverse and enthusiastic volunteers who make up our Council and Committees. This allows us to stay relevant to our members whilst keeping some of our traditions which have made the institute so successful.

As a Mancunian who “fell” into insurance after leaving school I could never have imagined the opportunities and experience this industry had for me. I feel very proud to be part of the Manchester market and encourage anybody leaving school, college or university to consider a career in insurance.

Young Members Ball 2025

We look forward to inviting you to the Insurance Institute of Manchester Young Members' Ball 2025! The event will take place on Thursday 1st May at Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel. Drinks Reception starts at 6pm Join us for an evening of music, food and networking.

Webinar: Digging Below the Surface - Introduction to Construction

A bitesize introduction into the world of construction presented by Tracy Keep from Gallagher. Tracy is an expert in her field and has wealth of knowledge and experience surrounding the topic of construction. This session with cover the key areas of construction from JCT contracts and Liability, to a claims scenario in which you can put your knowledge to the test. There is also the opportunity for a quick Q&A session to round up the session.
