This mini flood masterclass will be an informative session for all stakeholders, underwriters, brokers, claims professionals and others who have a need to know the current state of the nation’s flood defence, response and insurance capacity.
The afternoon will include presentations from the below speakers, followed by a panel discussion and networking drinks to finish.

Speaker Biographies
Aidan Kerr is the Director of Operations for Flood Re. As part of Flood Re’s executive team, he is responsible for ensuring Flood Re’s operations are set up to deliver Flood Re’s crucial objectives, including oversight of Capita and Landmark, the firms that will be delivering the key operational processes for Flood Re.
Previously he was Head of Property, Fraud and Specialist Lines at the ABI, covering the development of Flood Re, the ABI’s work on combatting fraud, as well as the topic of how insurers assess risk and, therefore, price it for their customers.
Aidan is a chartered accountant who joined the ABI from the Environment Agency where he was the Head of Investment and Funding, responsible for delivering the Long Term Investment Strategy for investment in flood risk management. Before that, he was a senior manager delivering finance transformation projects at Accenture.
Ian Hale
Ian has over 30 years of Flood Risk and Coastal Management experience working in academia and engineering consultancy before joining the Environment Agency. He is currently a senior team leader overseeing the assessment of development proposals, the development of flood and coast risk strategic management plans and delivery of the Capital Investment Programme for Cheshire and Merseyside.
Peter Cragg
Peter is Client Relationship Director for chartered loss adjusters, Cunningham Lindsey. As part of Cunningham Lindsey’s Major Loss team in the UK, he leads a team of specialists dealing with high-value commercial property claims, including incidents from last year’s flooding in Northern England.
Peter also has a client-facing role, working with insurers, brokers and global businesses. He has experience of manufacturing, the rail industry and further education. Clients include a Japanese IT manufacturer, a German transport company and a number of Universities. He is presently involved in claims for these clients in UK, Europe, Scandinavia and Australia.
Peter studied meteorology and hydrology at University and retains an interest in the environment and climate change.
Terri Adams
Terri has specialised in forensic accounting and loss adjusting for over 25 years. Prior to working in insurance she qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London working with a leading accountancy practice moving into corporate finance advisory work, including 3 years working in Japan. Terri has attended and contributed at numerous hearings, both mediation and arbitration, for which have primarily been recovery of Insurers outlay. She has also prepared several expert witness reports for uninsured losses.
