M05 Insurance Law Revision day

Who should attend? - Anyone who is enrolled for mixed assessment in M05 or who is considering this option in the near future. The workshop will include topics which can be used in both the coursework elements of the subject and the multiple choice examination.

The day will give those taking part the chance to ask questions and clarify any causes of concern.

By the end of this session, delegates will be able to discuss:
- An over view of the principles of insurance
- Insurable interest and Indemnity
- Subrogation and Contribution
- Duty of disclosure
- An overview of contract:-
- Offer, acceptance and consideration
- Contractual capacity, mistake, frustration
- An insight into agency

Trainer biography
Phil has been a part time senior lecturer within Birmingham universities for 19 years and has formerly held several senior management positions in general insurance, life and pensions. Phil supports the CII on a wide range of project work, is an auditor and tutor for the CII distance learning, and is an examiner for the CII.

Refreshments: Tea coffee on arrival and during morning and afternoon breaks; buffet lunch

Terms and Conditions
This course requires a minimum of 10 attendees to go ahead. Places are limited and will be served on a first come, first served basis. Registrations made followed by non-attendance will be subject to a charge of £30 to cover costs. If you can no longer attend the course, please give 48 hours notice otherwise the charge of £30 will apply. Please advise if you have any special access or dietary requirements when you book. Please note that places are limited on this course as it is an interactive training day.
