This session will be delivered by a drone operator and will provide delegates with an overview of drones.

Learning objectives
By the end of this session, delegates will be able to identify:

  • what the rules are
  • what can and can’t be done with a drone
  • what a drone looks and feels like
  • how a drone operates

Speakers’ biographies
Bruce Torrance, Digital Aviation Co, is a senior security professional with over twenty five years experience within the security industry. A qualified and CAA registered UAV pilot utilising small unmanned aircraft in a multitude of commercial applications.

Peter Forshaw, Weightmans LLP, is Partner and Head of Weightmans commercial insurance practice. Peter is a leading liability lawyer specialising in EL/ PL claims. He has extensive knowledge of liability issues in the commercial and leisure worlds and has written on the implications of new technology and its increasing role in our everyday lives.
