MLS Lecture: Workplace Crime, Negligence and Risk Transfer

Manchester Hall
Wednesday, 01 March 2017
12:15 pm – 1:00 pm (UK time)
    • Chris Gough, Mills & Reeve LLP

Chris has previously addressed the society on vicarious liability but in the case of Mohamud v William Morrison Supermarket plc; the Supreme Court has simplified the often conflicting judicial messages regarding an employer’s liability for the actions of its employees. That decision will cause alarm for employers but give assurance to those suffering damage/ injury at the hands of an employee committing a criminal or negligent act in their workplace.

Speaker’s biography
Chris is a litigation specialist with 20 years experience defending injury and property claims for insurers, direct corporate clients and the London market.
