Creating a Greater Manchester Solution

The CII, IIM and Trafford College are seeking to provide a solution through a Greater Manchester collaborative engagement strategy led by a steering group of employers large and small to overcome the difficulties faced.

If you are interested in bringing new talent into your business this event will be an ideal introduction to the options available to you in the Greater Manchester area.

A recent GMCA report for “Business, Financial and Professional Services” (which incorporates the insurance sector) found between 2015 and 2035 the sector is expected to create almost half (47.8%) of all new jobs in Greater Manchester (95,000).

The Insurance and Financial Planning sectors can no longer survive on accidental career choices and need to take more control over the attraction of new talent. Apprenticeships are a very effective route for young adults to enter the workplace in a structured way.

As the costs of University continue to rise, more talented young adults are considering work-based routes into traditional professions. The Insurance and Financial Planning sectors would benefit from a well thought through and market driven solution.
