Escape of Water has become a key talking point in the industry in recent years with many insurers seeing this peril at the top of their most frequent claims charts. The aim of this lecture is to provide some insight to what has caused the costs of dealing with these claims to increase. We will explore what can be done to influence the costs and how the industry is looking to respond through the use of new technology.

Speaker Biography
Sean Nolan is Head of Escape of Water at Crawford & Company, the world's largest publicly listed independent provider of claims management and outsourcing solutions to insurance companies and self-insured entities. Sean is a Chartered Insurer with over 20 years of senior claims leadership experience, leading field teams and claims handling centres for several major international firms. Sean joined Crawford & Company in 2016 as Technical Manager for Property Claims and was appointed to his current role in early 2019. Having held senior operational and technical leadership positions, as well as playing a pivotal role in the development of Crawford & Company's innovative EOW Solution, Sean will address the background and causes of the Escape of Water cost challenge as well as providing insight into some practical and effective ways to respond.
