South Manchester Lecture: SIPP and SSAS property purchase and exit planning opportunities
Time: Registration and lunch 12:00pm, lecture starts at 12:30pm to finish at 1:30pm.
This lecture will be held at the Alma Lodge hotel in South Manchester.
The session will entail looking at the structural differences between SIPP and SSAS, planning opportunities around commercial property purchase and exit planning routes for members of self invested pensions. It will also provide an update on recent court cases affecting the SIPP market.

- Recent court cases affecting SIPP
Speaker Biography
Steve has been with Dentons since January 2012, having spent all of his working life in the member directed pensions arena. He joined the industry 30 years ago and trained as a SSAS Administrator looking after his own portfolio of SSAS clients. He became a field-based SSAS Consultant which involved providing face to face SSAS consultancy services to clients, their Financial Advisers and Accountants. He has worked for several major SSAS and SIPP Providers in a business development role and he has frequently presented to large audiences of Financial Advisers on the topics of technical pensions and planning opportunities for Advisers with their clients.
He qualified as an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute by Examination in 1995 and thereafter served on the PMI's Examination Team for a period of 10 years, the final 3 of which involved sitting on the Board of Examiners as Principal Examiner for the Investment paper of the Advanced Diploma. Steve was elected a Fellow of the PMI in March 2018.
Steve thrives on the challenge of explaining complex pensions matters in a straightforward manner and finding solutions to the complex needs of Advisers and their clients.
