MCA Lecture: Vicarious Liability

Thursday, 12 March 2020

Manchester Claims Association

Venue is Manchester Hall, 36 Bridge Street, Manchester from 12:15pm

Presented by:
Brian McCluggage, Barrister 9 St John Street Chambers

Legally imposed responsibility for the actions of others - vicarious liability - is a fast moving subject of relevance to most personal injury practitioners. The Supreme Court has been expanding the law to cover incidents of sexual abuse, workplace assaults, and for those in non-traditional employment relationships. Brian will help attendees to draw a thread through all the recent authorities so to be in a position to practically apply the principles to novel or difficult cases of their own.
