Event Overview:

A view into alternate ways of gathering data with unmanned aerial vehicles and detailed examples of survey and inspection works that could be utilised post loss management. This lecture also described how unmanned aerial vehicles can be used within the commercial sector and how to operate them safely within the regulations of air law.

This lecture will suggest ways in which unmanned technology and post flight data compilation can become a world beating product for actuaries, loss adjusters and those involved with underwriting.

At the end of this event, the delegate will be able to identify:

  • The use of unmanned aerial vehicles and how they operate within CAA regulations
  • How data analytics can be used to provide detailed and highly accurate data for commercial organisations
  • How this data can be used to increase efficiency and costs within the insurance industry

Speaker profile - Perran Bonner, Director of Unmanned Services, Strat Aero PLC

Perran's background covers technical, commercial and operational activities including extensive work within communications, airborne surveillance and surveying. Perran is a keen aviator. Since gaining his UAV operations license he has logged many hours of flight time and considerable experience of flight operations.
