IF1 Overview

The course will look at the best exam techniques to use to pass IF1. We will explore:

  • The different types of risk,
  • The U.K. market place
  • The six insurance principles of insurable interest, duty not to misrepresent/ fair presentation of risk, indemnity, proximate cause, subrogation and contribution
  • The legal and regulatory aspects of insurance

The course will be delivered by Alan Chandler, Chartered Insurer who has taken thousands of people from nothing to fully ACII qualified, including training many national prize winners, so you will be getting the best possible help to pass IF1.

Learning Objectives

By attending this event, delegates will be able to identify:

  • the six main legal principles of insurance
  • the legal and regulatory adjectives of the syllabus

Speaker bio

Alan has undertaken operational management roles in three major global companies - NatWest Insurance Services, RBS Insurance Group and Allianz Insurance. He has run underwriting, broking and claims functions.

Eleven years ago he set up his own training company, something that he had always longed to do as he is passionate about training. Alan has delivered training for almost all the institutes in the UK over the past few years with his enthusiastic presenting style proving very popular.

He is one of the few individuals who can teach at all levels of the CII examinations and is driven by a passion to see increased professionalism within the insurance industry.
