Getting to grips with investment trusts

The use of investment trusts by financial advisers has increased sixfold since RDR, but those firms who use them regularly with clients are still in the minority. This webinar offers a broad view of what investment trusts offer clients, their risks and what to look out for when researching and selecting investment trusts.

  • Describe the main functions of investment trusts in financial planning
  • Identify the key metrics needed to analyse investment trusts, and understand how to interpret them

Speaker biography

Nick Britton has worked at The Association of Investment Companies (AIC) since 2015, aiming to broaden investment professionals’ knowledge and understanding of investment trusts, VCTs and other closed-ended investment companies. He holds the Investment Management Certificate, has passed Levels I and II of the CFA Program, and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He is a former business and financial journalist.
